We’re excited to announce that Brint Tech has been selected as the latest company to enter the Scale-Up Phase in Cohort 4 of Chevron Studio.
Brint Tech is bringing to market a hydrogen emissions detection and monitoring system for large-scale industrial and field environments. The sensing system leverages proprietary advances in stimulated Raman spectroscopy-based gas sensing to rapidly detect, localize, and quantify hydrogen leaks.
Brint will seek to enable geologic hydrogen exploration, enhance safety in hydrogen production and use, prolong asset life, and generally unlock gains across the value chain. The platform provides precise reliable data which will enable decision making, safeguard industrial operations, and verify low-carbon fuel standards. Brint’s founding team of Kathy Andersen, Azer Yalin and Bret Windom will be partnering with Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO to scale up and demonstrate this technology at a minimum viable commercial scale.
Andersen states, “With our early emphasis on validated measurements and ability to deliver real-time insights, Brint Tech is poised to support safety cases and help stakeholders accelerate their transition to low-carbon energy solutions while effectively mitigating associated risks.”
Brint Tech was selected based on Andersen’s engagement with the technology partner, her background in start-up development, and her vision to solve the need for accurate and rapid detection of gas species. In this phase of the program, the team is building a prototype of the sensor and preparing for field testing through their partnership with Colorado State University. The company is currently welcoming inquiries from operators and developers interested in early demonstrations of its hydrogen monitoring platform.
